France - Baked Brie

While the football fans are glued to the TV, treat yourself with this indulgent French classic from the Hairy Bikers. To celebrate the World Cup, the chefs have teamed up with npower to create 32 recipes for each of the competing nations.

Serves: 4

Ingredients
100-200g whole round of Brie cheese (with the edible white casing intact)
Butter for spreading
Almonds, flaked (optional)

Oven Method
Heat oven to 180C/Gas 4. Place cheese in an oven proof dish. Spread top with butter; cover with almonds (optional).

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until centre feels soft when you push down with a spoon. Serve warm with sliced French bread or crackers.

Microwave Method
Cut a cross in top of cheese. Put on a plate suitable for microwaving.

Cook on high for 50 seconds to one minute . Peel back the top and serve.
